OutreachPersonally experiencing evangelism on a weekly basis
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Outreach is very important to us here at Rebecca Creek. Our outreach efforts allow each member several ways to not only reach out to the lost with the Gospel message but to also be trained and learn when they are not comfortable doing do.
Every Tuesday night we meet at 6:45 pm to reach out to those who have visited our church. This is a chance to meet new folks and welcome them to our church as well as answer any questions they might have concerning our church. We often find ourselves talking about spiritual matters like salvation as well!
Door Knocking / Canvasing
Every Tuesday morning from 10am to 12 noon we are in the neighborhoods around our church sharing the gospel and praying with folks we meet. We also use this time to canvass the neighborhoods and pass out literature on up-coming events!
Flea Market Evangelism
This is our training ministry to teach others how to become soul winners. Every third Saturday of the month we take whoever wants to come to our booth in the Alamo Market Place on Hwy 90 to teach and train them on sharing the gospel with others. This ministry has become our most fruitful with hundreds of folks professing faith in Christ over the last few years. Even our teenagers have become involved and excited about sharing the word with others!
Often we have opportunity to take part in local events like market days or holiday celebrations in our community. Each time we setup a booth with two things in mind. We strive to share the gospel with others and we also tell folks about our church so they will know we are here! we’ve even created our own “Movie Night in the Park” where we try to reach out to our community and provide a safe family fun environment. We setup a big movie screen under the stars and watch a family friendly movie on blankets, lawn chairs even tailgates! All the hotdogs, popcorn and drinks are free of charge!
Throughout the year we will hold fellowships around holidays and special services geared to not only allow us as a church some fun but to attract those that currently do not attend. At Rebecca Creek Baptist you’ll have every opportunity to be a part of the Lord’s work and plenty of support to help you should you need it!
